In the Jin Dynasty, people here lived by fishing. They walked along the stream and forgot the distance from where they came. Suddenly they saw the blossom flower trees several steps away from the bank of the stream. There is no other kind of trees. Flowers dropped to the earth with very nice smell. The fisherman felt very strange and stepped further wanting to get through the wood. At the end of the wood, he saw a spring and a hill came to his eyes. There was a small hole in the hill. From the hole light was out. He left his boat and went in the hole.
At first, the entrance was very narrow, just for one to enter. After scores of steps, it is wide again. The land is plain and cottages came out. Roads got across and the shouting of the dogs and the chicks could be heard. People there dressed themselves differently unlike the people outside. They wear blond hairs and lived a enjoyable life.
When they saw the fisherman, they were very strange. Asked where he was from, the fisherman answered all. They would like to go home immediately to prepare the nice meal for the fisherman. Everybody came to learn of something about him. They told him their parents came there to avoid the fighting and never went out then. The fisherman asked them about the period when they lived. They didn’t know the Han Dynasty, nor even the Wei and Jin Dynasty. The fisherman sighed. The fisherman went to one family after one family for meal. Several days later, he left there.
He found his boat upon coming out. He made the marks along the path. He told the officials what he had seen. The official sent persons to look for the place, but they lost their way.
Liu Ziji who came from Nanyang and a respected people went to look for the place too but failed after he got to know that. He found no answer till he died. After that, nobody would like to ask for that.
