On March 30th, the 2025 National Youth Taekwondo Championship Series (Eastern League) came to a successful conclusion in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Zhou Songyuting from Jiujiang City performed outstandingly. Passing through each of the rounds, she ultimately won the runner-up position and the silver medal.
At the age of 4, Zhou Songyuting embarked on the road of taekwondo under the guidance of her father, who is a taekwondo dojo master. The influence of her family and the encouragement from her sister has filled her with a passion for taekwondo. At the age of 11, with talent and hard work, she was selected to the taekwondo team of the Jiangxi Provincial Sports School to start high-intensity training. The setback of being eliminated in the first round of the 2022 Provincial Championship did not break her resolve. With the support of her coach and father, she trained even harder to becomine a force to be reckoned with. She was the reigning champion of the Jiangxi Provincial Championships in both 2023 and 2024.
In this National Youth Taekwondo Championship Series (Eastern League), Zhou Songyuting faced strong opponents fearlessly. On the field, she held a firm gaze and displayed superb skills and tenacious fighting spirit in both offense and defense. She defeated her opponents one after another and advanced to the finals, ultimately winning the runner-up.
Zhou Songyuting said that this runner-up is a new starting-point and will continue to work hard in the future to improve strength and move towards higher goals.
