A Delegation of Diplomatic Envoys in China Visit Jiujiang

On April 15th, a delegation of more than 20 envoys and senior diplomats from five continents, including Lebanon's Ambassador to China, Milia Jabbar, visited Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. Wu Hailong, President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, Liu Wenhua,Secretary of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee, Li Yuqiang, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangxi Province, Xiong Jinxi, Deputy Mayor of Jiujiang Municipal People’s Government, and Kuang Jianjun, Secretary-General of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee, participated in the activities. 

Liu Wenhua, on behalf of the Jiujiang Municipal Committee and Government, welcomed the visiting delegation and briefly introduced the city's basic information. He pointed out that in recent years, we have thoroughly studied and implemented the important instructions by President Xi Jinping on Jiangxi, and zeroed in on the key objectives of “taking the lead, desiring to compete, and excelling in achievements,” and accelerated efforts to build “three regional centers”, namely, a regional manufacturing center, a regional cultural and tourism center, and a regional shipping hub, and to create “a beautiful home”, namely, a prosperous, beautiful, civilized, harmonious, and happy community. By advancing a pivotal node city along the Yangtze River Economic Belt with a high-standard and high-quality development, Jiujiang exemplifies its commitment to contributing to Jiangxi’s chapter in promoting Chinese modernization.Jiujiang is an open city and a vital inland region under the Belt and Road Initiative.Focusing on deepening domestic and international openness and vigorously developing port-driven economies, the important instructions by President Xi Jinping on Jiangxi, we will leverage our strengths and proactively expand cooperation with countries around the world to expand Jiujiang’s "circle of friends."We sincerely hope that all distinguished diplomats will continue to support Jiujiang’s economic and social development. During their stay in Jiujiang, the delegation also paid a visit to Jiujiang Section of the Yangtze River National Park, Xinghuo Organic Silicon Co., Ltd., and the Town of Robot in Poyang Lake Eco-Tech City, which let them experience the cultural charm, industrial vitality, and innovational vigor of Jiujiang on site.
