ECUT Beidou and Low-Altitude Economy Modern Industry College (Jiujiang) Inaugurated

On the afternoon of March 18, the inauguration ceremony for the Beidou Application and Low-Altitude Economy Modern Industry College (Jiujiang), established by East China University of Technology (ECUT), was held in Chaisang District of Jiujiang. Jiang Wending, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Jiujiang, and Zhang Fuqing, Party Secretary of the university, attended the ceremony and jointly unveiled the plaque. 

East China University of Technology has a long history and enjoys a strong national reputation in the fields of nuclear industry and geosciences, with particular strengths in surveying and mapping, remote sensing, and electronic information. The establishment of the college marks a significant step in aligning higher education with local development. It also reflects ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration among government, universities, and enterprises, and to promote the integrated development of education and modern industries.

The college is currently progressing in an orderly manner. Its first-phase training base has been completed and is already in use, while a Beidou-related testing and inspection center is under accelerated construction. Once completed, the industry college and its supporting facilities will leverage Jiujiang’s strong industrial foundation and align closely with the needs of the Beidou application and low-altitude economy industrial chains. It will establish a coordinated “government – university – enterprise” talent development model to cultivate high-quality, innovative, interdisciplinary, and application-oriented professionals urgently needed for the development of Jiujiang and Jiangxi Province, thereby injecting strong momentum into improving the city’s industrial ecosystem and fostering new drivers of growth.
