The 2026 Jiujiang International Famous Tea and Spring Expo Opens Up

On May 7, the opening ceremony of 2026 Jiujiang International Famous Tea and Spring Expo themed "Discover TEA in Jiujiang: Two Wonders of Tea and Spring Water"was held at Lianxi District, Jiujiang City. Jiang Wending, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Jiujiang Municipal People's Government, officially announced the opening of 2026 Jiujiang International Famous Tea and Spring Expo. Jiang Yongwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tea Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Luo Feng, Director of Jiangxi Provincial Agricultural and Rural Industry Development Service Center, and Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee addressed the ceremony respectively.

Jiang Yongwen stated that Jiujiang, a renowned historical and cultural city, has been blessed with an enchanting landscape of fine teas and exquisite springs since ancient time. It is home to two famous teas—Lushan Cloud and Mist Tea (green tea) and Ninghong Tea (black tea). He hopes that Jiujiang City will fully leverage its ecological advantages in tea cultivation, further explore the profound cultural essence of teas and springs, inherit the time-honored craftsmanship of tea making, enhance the reputation of local distinctive tea brands, and tell good stories about the culture of Jiujiang's teas and springs. Jiujiang City should also accelerate the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, further expand the potential value and drive the high-quality development of the tea sector.

On behalf of the CPC Jiujiang Municipal Committee and Jiujiang Municipal People's Government, Huang Qiang extended a warm welcome to all leaders and guests present at the event, and expressed sincere gratitude for their consistent care and support for Jiujiang's economic and social development. He noted that Jiujiang is taking solid action in "the Four Critical Campaigns" concerning agricultural industrialization. Centering on the two time-honored distinctive tea brands — Lushan Cloud and Mist Tea (green tea) and Ninghong Tea (black tea), the city is steadily expanding tea cultivation scale, improving tea quality, integrating tea culture with tourism, and enriching diversified business formats related to tea sector.

Huang hoped that this event will serve as a platform to renew friendship and deepen exchanges. He also invited tea enthusiasts, enterprises and experts to visit Jiujiang, invest its tea industry, and start businesses here, so as to introduce Jiujiang's tea to the world and spread its aroma far and wide.
