Jiujiang Undertakes a New National Pilot Project

Recently, Jiujiang Pipa Lake Edible Agricultural Products Wholesale Market has been designated as a national pilot unit for “improving and upgrading the supervision of edible agricultural products” by State Administration for Market Regulation, with a one-year trial period. Under this model, all market-entry agricultural products must submit relevant qualification documents online in advance to generate a unique traceability code. Buyers scan the code on-site to complete transactions, with all transaction records automatically linked to the code. All these help to achieve "complete digital records, full traceability of sources and accountability of destinations."

Through the integration of "one-code connectivity, code-based traceability and digital empowerment," the pilot program aims to establish Pipa Lake Market as a model of smart supervision characterized by "advanced governance concepts, solid technology application, efficient coordination mechanisms, and feasible terminal coverage." This will effectively drive upstream producers and suppliers to strictly enforce quality and safety control, comprehensively enhance the supervision capacity of edible agricultural products in Jiujiang City, and provide a replicable and promotable "Jiujiang Model" for full-chain smart supervision of edible agricultural products across the province, so as to earnestly safeguard public food safety.
