Jiujiang University 2026 International Culture Festival Successfully Held

On May 23, the 2026 International Culture Festival of Jiujiang University was successfully held at the Tennis Center of the South Campus. Under the theme “Bound to Jiujiang · Bridging the World”, the event attracted more than 500 participants, including Chinese and international students, faculty, and representatives from organizations such as the Jiujiang City Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, promoting cultural integration and deepening university-local cooperation.

At 9 a.m., the event opened with the dragon dance and martial arts performance. Guests including Lei Zhiqiang, Vice President of Jiujiang University, and Guo Yu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Jiujiang City Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, attended the opening ceremony. Chinese and international students, together with representatives of returned overseas Chinese, presented a rich variety of cultural performances, including classical Chinese dance, tea art, calligraphy, multilingual poetry recitation, Thai dance, African drum music, and a traditional costume show of various countries.

After the opening ceremony, the International Cultural Carnival Experience was launched. More than ten national cultural booths, a global food plaza, and interactive games and handicraft experience areas were set up on site. Chinese and foreign teachers and students enhanced mutual understanding of each other’s cultures through tasting food and participating in interactive activities.

International students from Pakistan, India, Cambodia and other countries stated that the culture festival provided a sound platform for cross-cultural exchanges and helped reduce misunderstanding and prejudice.

A representative from Faculty of International Studies of Jiujiang University, noted that the deepened cooperation between the school and the Jiujiang City Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese will help achieve a win-win situation: facilitating international student recruitment and employment while supporting talent cultivation and reserve building for overseas Chinese enterprises. This partnership will further promote the internationalization of the campus and help build an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial environment for people-to-people and cultural exchange.
