Wayne Hardie, former mayor of Baw Baw Shire, Australia, visited Jiujiang twice for cultural exchanges after Baw Baw Shire established sister city relations with Jiujiang. Decades later, deeply moved by Jiujiang's development, he returned for a visit at the end of 2024.
